About Mark

Mark is an author and writer. He has been published in various home education periodical articles and religious journals.

Mark’s first novel is a Christian military/spy fiction, however, it’s based on some of his parent’s adventures. His mother was Amish in her early years of growing up. Mark was born in the Panama Canal Zone, while his father was in the U.S. Navy. Soon after that, his father, assisted by his mother, assumed positions with the U.S. State Department as a Foreign Service Officers. During Mark’s formative years, his family traveled to posts where his parents were stationed in embassies, consulates, and military installations in Tegucigalpa, Honduras; Miami, Florida; Athens, Greece, and Karachi, Pakistan. During their stay in Karachi, the family endured a war between India and Pakistan. Mark, his mother, and sister were evacuated to Tehran, Iran while his father remained behind with the Consul General. A year after the cease-fire, Mark’s father resigned his position and later became a pastor. These adventures were the inspiration behind Mark’s debut novel.

Travel. Change. Knowledge.

Driven by the importance of international knowledge and the relationship Americans have with it.

As Mark researched and voiced his opinions on how the United States engaged several policies in the global theater, he became eminently concerned with the lack of knowledge by the American public concerning the network of American embassies, consulates and installations abroad. He realized most Americans knew little of these important installations and continued to research to share his knowledge.

As a new writer, Mark decided he wanted to work on fiction, combining the adventures of his family, and now is finishing the first book of this three-book series. He is also working on several short-stories and articles.

Mark’s goal is to become an accomplished writer and hopes his stories will entertain and inform readers.

He resides in Canton, Ohio, along with his wife Diane of 41 years and four children and one grandchild. He is an active minister and former pastor, with a professional background in Information Technology. You can currently find Mark writing and speaking about what is happening in our world on social media.
